Welcome to sWorship at Prestonwood!
The apostle Peter encouraged us to “grow up in our salvation” (1Peter 2:1-3). In a sense, salvation is like buying shoes that are too big, and knowing that our child will someday grow to fit them. Jesus died for us. We are saved. Period. But thanks to Gods grace we have the rest of our lives to “grow into it”.
Sometimes we hear that kids are too little. They are too little to really hear Gods word. They are too little to understand. Here in sWorship, we are here to tell you that they are not too little! Young children just need a different way to learn and express their love for our heavenly Father, and need a way to “grow into their salvation”. We want to give them an outlet to build a life long love for music and songs, but at the same time teaching them biblical truths that they can draw on for the rest of their lives. We want your kids to have fun in sWorship, and learn how to praise Jesus with all their hearts, souls and minds. It doesn’t matter if they have a good voice or can play instruments. Our goal is for your child to find the right mix of music, laughter and songs to inspire them, and for them to learn it is just plain fun to sing!
As Cyndi Nine so eloquently put it “Our main goal is not to necessarily create musicians, but rather, to instill memories of a loving God who is there for each of us throughout our lives. As we grow older, we remember the songs we sang as children and we might just find comfort and direction from those memories”
So, come join us in sWorship! We love to have new friends and encourage each other to love and serve the Lord. Whether you are an adult who wants to come teach with us, or a parent signing up your child for Kids Music for the first time, come join us as we all learn to "grow up in our salvation" together!
